| In 1995 the Wilfong Dorset flock was established by Benjamin Wilfong as a purebred sheep 4-H project. Over the next 10 years the flock grew to 100 ewes and became a well known name across the United States as a highly reputable operation. Seedstock gained momentum across the country reaching from coast to coast and from Texas to New York. After losing his grandfather and the family farm in 2006 the flock was dispersed. After building a top registered Angus and Beef Cattle Operation, as well as a growing family the flock was brought back alive in 2017 with the purchase of four Dorset ewe lambs. In 2019 an opportunity came to purchase the entire Moore Family Sheep Polled Dorset Flock in Kirksville, MO consisting of some of the deepest and richest bloodlines in the Polled Dorset Breed. We also purchased the Crego Livestock Dorset Wether Flock in its entirety in addition to 20 ewes from the Erickson Family in Minnesota we have stuck to our commitment to put together a strong foundation of wether type dorsets from top breeders from around the country as well as a very strong start to a production oriented flock based from imported Australian genetics from Maple Hollow Farms in PA. |
